Today I received the only two items I purchased from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring collection.
Petal eyeshadow quad and Apricot blush
Below is a photo (in natural light without flash) comparing Apricot with some of the other D&G shades. Although I haven't given this a try yet, if it's anything like the other D&G blushes, I think it should be OK despite the "orangey-ness." I have found these blushes to be somewhat sheer and easily toned down by applying with a light hand. They have a really fine texture, and unlike a lot of other blushes the brush that comes with them is actually usable!
Top (left to right): Provocative 40, Apricot 27, Rose 30
Bottom: Caramel 25 and Nude 10
*Update 3/23/2013* Below are swatches of Apricot and a photo of it applied on the cheeks. I hope this is helpful!
Above and below is Apricot worn on the cheeks. It is a warm peachy terracotta shade that has an effect similar to that of a bronzer. It is somewhat sheer, so those with fair complexions should be able to wear it if applied with a light hand, or you can layer it as I did here to achieve stronger color.

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to order my first D&G blush soon but Harrods has a really limited selection online so I was wondering if you could let me know if you think Rose would work on my very pale cool toned skin? I wasn't sure if it was too dark and if it had a lot of red to it? x
Hello Replica, I will pull out my Rose blush when I get home from work tonight and will try to update this post with a better photo & a swatch. :)
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCan you please post a swatch of Apricot blush. I would like to know a bit more about it before purchasing it online. It's not availble in my country unfortunately. Thanks a lot :) !
Hi, I will try to update this post with a swatch this weekend. :)
DeleteThank youu..! I'll be waiting for it! Take care :)
ReplyDeleteThank youu !! It's very helpful :) It's really gorgeous on yo:) This is what I need ! I'm Going to buy it :):)
ReplyDeleteHi yoyo, thanks! I am glad it was helpful and this has reminded me to wear it more often :)
DeleteThank you also for the information you added about Apricot, I have a light skin tone similar to yours, I think it will be gorgeous on me too :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you like it! And if you would like something a little less warm and more neutral I would suggest Nude, which is a great everyday blush.
