Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2010: Petal Eyeshadow Quad and Apricot Blush

Today I received the only two items I purchased from the Dolce & Gabbana Spring collection.

Petal eyeshadow quad and Apricot blush

Below is a photo (in natural light without flash) comparing Apricot with some of the other D&G shades. Although I haven't given this a try yet, if it's anything like the other D&G blushes, I think it should be OK despite the "orangey-ness." I have found these blushes to be somewhat sheer and easily toned down by applying with a light hand.  They have a really fine texture, and unlike a lot of other blushes the brush that comes with them is actually usable!

Top (left to right): Provocative 40, Apricot 27, Rose 30
Bottom: Caramel 25 and Nude 10

*Update 3/23/2013* Below are swatches of Apricot and a photo of it applied on the cheeks. I hope this is helpful!

Above and below is Apricot worn on the cheeks. It is a warm peachy terracotta shade that has an effect similar to that of a bronzer. It is somewhat sheer, so those with fair complexions should be able to wear it if applied with a light hand, or you can layer it as I did here to achieve stronger color.

  1. Hello,
I'm hoping to order my first D&G blush soon but Harrods has a really limited selection online so I was wondering if you could let me know if you think Rose would work on my very pale cool toned skin? I wasn't sure if it was too dark and if it had a lot of red to it? x

    1. I hope you like it! And if you would like something a little less warm and more neutral I would suggest Nude, which is a great everyday blush.
