Nars Summer 2011 Nail Polish: Kismet & Ecume

Pictured with flash below:

Kismet: A luminous sunflower yellow / marigold. Formula is thick and gives nice coverage, with just a few streaks due to the metallic nature of the polish. This might not work for everyone, but is an interesting color and different than anything I have.

Ecume: Opaque bright white. Formula is thick and a bit gloopy but gave great coverage. I have never worn white polish before, fearing "Wite-Out" nails, but I think it looks fresh and appropriate for summer, and actually manages to make my fair skin look a little less ghostly!  :)

  1. I quite like Ecume - is it very slightly off-white? It looks a bit softer than white.

  2. Hi Grace, It is white, but I think it appears slightly off-white in my photos due to poor lighting :)

  3. Oh, I'd have liked it as an off-white ;) I will still have to have a look at it, it looks very elegant on you.

  4. Thanks! Have you seen Illamasqua's polish "Load"? It's a very pale yellow, almost looks off-white. It's so pretty!

  5. LOVE these photographs. The mother of pearl backdrop for Kismet is sheer genius! Also really like the pretty things in the background of most of your pictures! Both colors suit you very well, enjoy! :)

  7. I always think white nail polish looks like whiteout, but Ecume looks so pretty here!

  8. Hi Liz, I felt the same way and it does take some getting used to, but I like it with certain outfits :)
