Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Macro-Color Shadow in Beige Nudo

Giorgio Armani recently released a collection of 24 new single eye shadows, called Eyes to Kill Macro-Color shadows ($32). Within the range are three different finishes: satin, matte, and vivid. I chose the shade Beige Nudo, which is classified as a "satin." However, being somewhat sheer and sparkly, I found that it performs more along the lines of a MAC Lustre shadow. Beige Nudo is a lovely, multidimensional beige. In the pan it looks like a simple champagne taupe, but on the skin you can see that it also has peachy-pink tones. It contains fine shimmer that tends to migrate around the eyes upon application, so I recommend using it over a good base. With one swipe it comes across as fairly sheer, but can be built up to a certain degree. Those who prefer a very opaque shadow may be disappointed with Beige Nudo, but if you are looking for a delicate gossamer veil of color and sparkle this would be a great choiceThis would be a beautiful all-over lid shade for evening wear because of the way it catches the light and really brightens the eyes.

I couldn't find anything in my collection that resembles Beige Nudo, but have compared it below with a few of the lighter, neutral shades I own to give you a better idea of the color.

  1. Burberry - Pale Barley
  2. Giorgio Armani - Beige Nudo #10
  3. Chantecaille - Rose Quartz
  4. MAC - Retrospeck
  5. Laura Mercier - Ballet Pink
  6. Bobbi Brown - Golden Peach

Left to right: Giorgio Armani Beige Nudo, Chantecaille Rose Quartz, Bobbi Brown Golden Peach, MAC Vanilla Pigment, Laura Mercier Ballet Pink, MAC Retrospeck, Burberry Pale Barley

I wore Beige Nudo earlier today while doing my usual Sunday grocery shopping and errands--a little glam for Target and Publix, but why not--right? I paired it with a bit of Bobbi Brown's Oat in the crease and lined the upper lash line with Lorac's "Front of the Line Pro" eyeliner in black. I used Chanel's Stylo Yeux liner in #89 Or Rose on the inner half of the bottom lash line, along with Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Underground on the outer half, and completed the look with Armani Eyes to Kill mascara in black.

Have you picked up any of Armani's Macro-Color singles? Beige Nudo was the first shade that caught my eye, but I think I may need to make another visit to the counter again in the near future to test some of the other shades!

Funny thing is I was just writing my review on the eyeshadow, I got Tadzio 9.
The texture is sooo good, right? I was eyeing 10 too when I was deciding but I totally got seduced by 9, hehe ^^.

    1. Hi Clare, Thank you! It has a lot of pretty, very fine shimmer. I've heard #9 is a good choice -- it's another neutral (a medium taupe, I believe). It may be going on my wishlist next! I always feel it's safe to stick to neutrals :)

  6. Hey Shannon, Beige Nudo just makes your eyes sparkle. What a beautiful look! I plan to get one of these to try but I'm not sure which, I was thinking of Beige Nudo but I have many champagne / beige/ peach shimmer shades already. What would your next single shadow purchase be? :)

    1. Hi Jacqueline, Thank you!! :) I think my next choice would be Tadzio #9 that Teri mentioned above. It is a medium taupe with shimmer that looks like it would be a great everyday sort of shade :)
