Giorgio Armani recently released a collection of 24 new single eye shadows, called Eyes to Kill Macro-Color shadows ($32). Within the range are three different finishes: satin, matte, and vivid. I chose the shade Beige Nudo, which is classified as a "satin." However, being somewhat sheer and sparkly, I found that it performs more along the lines of a MAC Lustre shadow. Beige Nudo is a lovely, multidimensional beige. In the pan it looks like a simple champagne taupe, but on the skin you can see that it also has peachy-pink tones. It contains fine shimmer that tends to migrate around the eyes upon application, so I recommend using it over a good base. With one swipe it comes across as fairly sheer, but can be built up to a certain degree. Those who prefer a very opaque shadow may be disappointed with Beige Nudo, but if you are looking for a delicate gossamer veil of color and sparkle this would be a great choice. This would be a beautiful all-over lid shade for evening wear because of the way it catches the light and really brightens the eyes.
I couldn't find anything in my collection that resembles Beige Nudo, but have compared it below with a few of the lighter, neutral shades I own to give you a better idea of the color.
- Burberry - Pale Barley
- Giorgio Armani - Beige Nudo #10
- Chantecaille - Rose Quartz
- MAC - Retrospeck
- Laura Mercier - Ballet Pink
- Bobbi Brown - Golden Peach

I wore Beige Nudo earlier today while doing my usual Sunday grocery shopping and errands--a little glam for Target and Publix, but why not--right? I paired it with a bit of Bobbi Brown's Oat in the crease and lined the upper lash line with Lorac's "Front of the Line Pro" eyeliner in black. I used Chanel's Stylo Yeux liner in #89 Or Rose on the inner half of the bottom lash line, along with Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Underground on the outer half, and completed the look with Armani Eyes to Kill mascara in black.
Have you picked up any of Armani's Macro-Color singles? Beige Nudo was the first shade that caught my eye, but I think I may need to make another visit to the counter again in the near future to test some of the other shades!
