Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks: Burnished Bronze and Copper

I have professed my love for Laura Mercier's Caviar Sticks in the past, and still consider them to be one of my favorite eye products. They have great pigmentation, go on creamy and blend nicely, and set to a long-wearing finish. They look great on their own but can also be used as a base underneath powder shadows, and are so handy to create a quick and polished eye look. So it is usually a given that whenever Laura Mercier releases new shades, they will have my attention! I picked up two of the six new shades that were launched earlier this summer: Burnished Bronze and Copper ($28).

Left to right: Copper and Burnished Bronze

Burnished Bronze is a gorgeous rich mahogany brown with soft shimmer. It has more of a satin glow rather than a full-on shimmer. It reminds me a lot of an older Laura Mercier Cream Shadow shade, Burnished Copper, but now in a much more convenient stick form (you can see that shade worn in a look of the day I posted last year).

Copper is not really a copper at all--it is more of a warm, sunny golden bronze, along the lines of shades like Urban Decay's Half-Baked or MAC's Amber Lights. It is more shimmery and reflective than Burnished Bronze. I love to pair shades like this with burgundies, plums and purples for a fall sunset look.

If you are interested in purchasing any of the new Caviar Sticks, it is a good time to do so, as Laura Mercier is offering a promotion through August 31. If you purchase any two Caviar Sticks you will receive one free. However, the free item is limited to the following shades: Pink Opal, Seashell, Mint Snow or Steel.

    1. Hi Jacqueline, I wore both of them together today - Burnished Copper is super-metallic if used full strength but is more subtle blended out. Burnished Bronze is so pretty and the perfect shade for fall! :)
